How to Sell Tickets Online in Nepal: A Step-by-Step Guide for Organizers

Priya Gurung July 29, 2026 3 min read

If you're organizing your first ticketed event in Nepal, the logistics can feel more intimidating than the event itself. Here's a practical walkthrough of what actually needs to happen, in order.

1. Decide your ticket tiers before you decide your price

Most successful events in Nepal use at least two tiers — an early-bird price to drive early commitment, and a regular price closer to the event date. If your venue has meaningfully different experiences (standing vs. seated, general vs. VIP), price those as separate tiers rather than add-ons; it's clearer for buyers and easier for you to track.

2. Set a realistic capacity, then build in a buffer

Whatever your venue's stated maximum, plan your ticket count 5–10% under it. No-shows happen, but so do last-minute walk-ins and guest passes, and you don't want to be turning away paying customers at the door because of a counting error.

3. Choose payment methods your audience already uses

In Nepal, that almost always means eSewa and Khalti at minimum, alongside card payment for anyone booking from outside the country. If your platform only supports one payment method, you're filtering out a chunk of your potential audience before they even see your pricing.

4. Make refund and entry policy visible before checkout, not after

State your refund policy, age restrictions, and entry rules (ID required, no re-entry, etc.) on the event page itself. Disputes almost always come from policies that existed but weren't visible at the point of purchase.

5. Plan check-in like it's part of the event, not an afterthought

QR-code check-in is faster and more accurate than a printed guest list, especially for events over 100 attendees. Whoever is working the door should be able to scan a ticket and get an instant valid/invalid result — not flip through a spreadsheet while a line builds up outside.

6. Watch your numbers in real time

Knowing how many tickets have sold, at what tier, and how much revenue you've collected — without having to ask someone to check — lets you make decisions while there's still time to act on them: extending an early-bird window, opening a new tier, or upgrading your venue.

Where Snaptix fits in

This is exactly what the Snaptix organizer dashboard is built to handle — ticket tiers, eSewa and Khalti collection, QR check-in, and live sales analytics, without needing a developer or a spreadsheet to hold it together.
